The Crimp could be seen as the cornerstone of any limestone wall. This set of 20 represents many of the textures and features found in the limestone areas we looked at; The hand positions adopted on particular crimps, for example, where the hand is in a closed position, with the thumb locking the first fingers, or where a more open handed position is taken, seem to be both very common styles of crimping. Or where the hold is small, but extremely positive almost like a tiny jug also seem to feature. In a lot of cases the thumb is often employed as an aid -because of the many facets and features of limestone.
All of these observations have been considered when designing this set. Generally the holds are positive, as that seemed to be the case with most standard routes -coming across a good solid crimp before a clip always makes a climb enjoyable!
They also have two screw holes dedicated for more precise positioning e.g. competition route setting.
